Lagos Fashion Police at the Miss Nigeria Pageant

Hey guys, its your favourite fashion ladies again... Yup you guessed right... Here is the Miss Nigeria review from us at LFP...

Congrats to the winner, thanks to Bella Naija for the pictures... Enjoy ;-)

Tiny: Even a maxi dress has a bit of fitting, this doesn't do well. Nice piece and colour but exceptionally wrong for Eku's body, I mean totally wrong, it doesn't work for me one bit. This makes Eku look like she's ready to spend the day at home doing nothing but watch tv with a bowl of popcorn in her hands, even for that, this isn't comfortable or suitable.

Toya: I am sorry, but I don't understand this dress, whether or not it whirls. Aside from the colour, this is a boring ass dress, and what is that woven bib like flap? And Eku, you need to stop losing weight, you are beginning to look anorexic.

Tiny: Yea Toya, I'm with you on that. Being too skinny isn't sexy, na, not anymore. Eat some chicken Eku, real greasy too.

Toya: Aunty Grace, this has to be the first time I have seen you in an age appropriate dress and you truly look amazing, however there is an oddness around the waist region but I shall ignore that. Nice balance between coffee brown and gold. You do look good for your 60 years, she is 60 right?

Tiny: Haha... Grace Egbagbe looks so beautiful, I wish I got the front look of the dress, the boob cut looks good and that's very important with a dress like this, I would also have loved to see what the wasit line of the dress looks like. The coffee brown works for her and those shoes look good. Overall, she did an amazing job.. Thumbs up ma'am.

Tiny: Now I was enjoying this outfit till I got below her knee and then I saw her shoes and I was like... Da hell is that??. This would have been lovely if the skirt were knee length, and even if it's still this long, those shoes are just so wrong, if she wore a pair of pants, I would probably not mind, but this is a no no. Doesn't work for me. Iove her hair and box clutch. Amazing

Toya: Whoever sets out to look like a stick of liquorice? I understand the monochrome concept but for a skinny chick, a pretty structured short flared skirt would have been stunning with your white blouse. And those shoes, nah babe, I don't care how nubian or eccentric you think you are, those are just butt ugly.

Tiny: Now this is stunning, I love this monostrap dress on Bola.. Wow! The yellow is amazing and I love the orange blend at the bottom of the dress. The gold shoulder detail makes the dress stand out and her smile.....flawless... Amazing look Bola

Toya: Tres Pretty, this is actually a red carpet worthy dress. I love the mustard yellow and the orange accents, the colours go exceptionally well with her glowing skin (I am off to blush beauty in a bit). I always thought she should go with longer lengths in dresses and it really works for her. The purple purse is a nice touch. Well balanced!

Toya: Elohor looks very demure. A real mature sexiness. I like it. Although bolder shoes and purse would have further improved this look. All the similar mink colours might come through as a bit washed out.

Tiny: Now this has got to be my first time seeing Elohor with a decent look, but ofcourse you know I dislike it when people misuse the 'cross leg' pose but she seems to have got it...a lil bit... Lol. Now this dress, really nice and classy. The hair really suits her and I'm with you on the shoes, should have done a bit better

Toya: Gentlemen callers, I didn't know that Miss Nigeria was a black tie event. Na wa oh. These 2 definately missed the turn into federal palace casino and ended up at eko hotel. Anyways it is cute to see the oldies not backing down, looking sharp hommies.

Tiny: Hahaha, aside that, I love this, I still have a wide grin on my face. Makes me feel like I'm the 60's. These men look absolutely fab.

Tiny: Hello lady, what do you think you are doing? No no, please explain what you have on? I feel like I'm watching a fulani movie.. I mean those shoessssss.... C'mon girl, that is just wrong. The design of this outfit is just wrong for the occasion... Totally!!!!

Toya: Mrs Costello, we know your hubby must definately have thought this was an african princess look but you do not fool us. That uneven hemline is just horrid. You have an athletic body and you can not pull off all these egdes. Please look to softer lines next time. Or where you off to perform at Fela's shrine?

Tiny: Miss Shaba, wow, you look pretty excited to be taking this picture o, that smile ehn.. Lol. Anyways, lovely outfit. Will I say you played it safe with the all black?? Hmmm. Love the clutch and the way you wore your hair, absolutely classy.

Toya: There is always something that doesn't quite excite me about the dresses this young lady wears, for me the fabrics sometimes look cheap. That aside, this LBD is actually sexy but the neckline would have been better if it sat abit lower. It helps that you have a pretty face so you do look hot in this dress.

Tiny: Another nice monostrap dress, the pink does works... Somehow...Infact the pink is too much, her nails are pink too. She looks like a tall candy floss.... And what is all that 'shekere' on the dress nowwww.. Ahn ahn... Its not an indian movie set o... And that hair looks ghetto... Wait... Not looks... It is Ghetto.

Toya: This chic looks like she fell out of a nollywood movie party scene where she was probably dancing with kanayo o kanayo or St obi. Wait is this a bridesmaid's dress updated with chains in a bid to modernise it? I am confused

Tiny: I take the indian bit back for the candy floss lady above... Datte here is actually on the set of an Indian movie... What in the h*ll is this?? I'm not even pissed coz I can't stop laughing

Toya: Datte, you have a sick body for someone that is not a spring chicken but I don't understand why you felt the need to wear a full bra with this indian prom dress when you could have easily worn a strapless bra. Please explain?

Toya: Efe Tommy oh, what the f*ck? The shirt sleeves are afraid of your wrists. The trousers are also jumping, where you pushed out of your house that night? Are those 2 displaced lines supposed to be suspenders? And oh God please remove that little hill on your head. Borrow a page from the elders in the white dinner jackets.

Tiny: Hahaha. Took the words right out of my mouth... I can't stop staring at the pants, looks like his about to be in a Michael Jackson dance video... I wonder if he'll ever shave that thing off his head... *sigh*

Toya: He is definetly the joker of this review.

And its a wrap for this event guys... We hope you enjoyed this review.

You know the drill. Send in comments/suggestions. You know how to reach us..

Till next time, stay fabulous guys!!!

The Lagos Fashion Police at the FAB Nominee Part

Hello lovely fashionable people.... We are here to deliver the FAB Nominee Party review. We hope you love it.

Enjoy!!

Tiny: Toni, I would expect a better weave than what you have on... I mean if you decide to put on that outfit then your hair should atleast look good too coz this weave just looks tacky. Anyways to the dress, hmmm ok o, if you are wearing this for the Nominee party, then what should we expect for the awards itself?? Please answer me o before your boobs fly off and take you along. Your necklace is the only thing that gets my approval here, that dress is just too much for the 'PARTY'

Toya: Sweet heavenly father. Toni, why do you always insist on being on the worst dressed list? Is this a joke? The person that made this dress is so wicked and the ppl that you call friends are even more wicked. What is that paper fan on your chest? Infact you should have taken off your shoes and ran very fast immediately you saw a camera being lifted to take your picture. Horribllllllllllle! Infact I would rather you had come naked to this party than wear this. Cringe

Tiny: Absolutely Fab!! This is so chic. I love the hair piece and that lime dress looks amazing on her. I can't see the belt well but I'm glad she held her waist with one. Makeup is simple and classy. Good job Tayo, LFP certifies you

Toya: Tayo looks so pretty. This key lime dress is so fun and the asymmetric neckline adds to the allure of the dress and her skintone is beautifully compliments the shade of the dress. Makeup is so simple and clean. Nice work lady.

Tiny: Hmmm, sexy man. I love that pose. I love Ebuka in this look. He looks like he stopped by on his way from work (but this event on not on a weekday, lol). Simple but speaks to you, I like

Toya: I like Ebuka's oufit, simple and clean, however oh, Ebuka it is either you saw a fucking hot piece of ass on your way to Marquee or you were stroking the monkey before you were interrupted by Noble Igwe, who said and I quote ' Ebuka bia, it is time to go for the nominee party'. Please we would like to hear from you as regards the bulge in your pants. Thank you!
Infact Ebuka I am suing you for visual sexual assault

Tiny: Ahhhhh!!! Sose!! I love this man... These Dj's of today are just so damn HOT.. I mean the likes of Sose, Xclusive, Caise, Dj Obi etc... Damn!!
Ok to the outfit, I just want to say the detail on his buba match his tattoo... Hahaha, that's so cliché... Hehe. Ignore me. But I love Sose's look, works for this Hot mixed race Dj

Toya: He looks like he would be a freak hmmmmmmm! I heard he paints this tattoo on daily. What is with the wonder woman cuff, am disturbed by that? Tiny yes oh, all these Djs. I want to have a private meeting with them all. Big Grin

Toya: I love the one colour palette of the outfit, it works suprisingly. The interjection of the green/gold belt and necklace definately uplifts the overall look. Nice one

Tiny: Well she came prepared. Now this is what we like to see on the red carpet but in this case, Black carpet, Lol... I love the blend in colour, the green and gold match so well. Love her necklace as well, infact every detail. Even her pose speaks to you.

Tiny: Dj Caise, I know I just called you Hot but what is going on here? I'm sure you said 'Mehn its a party abi, ill just wear these frumpy looking denims and this black shirt, choke myself and look supid all at once'... C'mon son this is fashion gone wrong. If you have a girlfriend, tell her to dress you up next time

Toya: I swear Caise if I had seen this pic before my earlier comment I might have excluded you. Were you supposed to be on the cast of a yoruba movie? Lmao. Oh I know what it is you probably live in lekki phase 1 where the floods are bad, and you need a bridge to get out of your house. Seen! Dj, we like you at LFP, we would forgive you this time but please do not repeat this

Tiny: Utunnu master, not in your normal blazer this time around?? Thanks for the change in outfit but I see you have toms on... Again!!. Pretty simple outfit, anyways it was a party, so ill let you pass this time. You do look tired, like you were forced to come out.. Tired but still Hot! Tiny loves you *wink*

Toya: Lynxx, I just have one thing to say to you. I know toms are in fashion but darling you DO NOT need to wear them with everything. What should we expect next dansiki with Toms. You know you are still sexy!

Toya: Well I guess you were trying to live up to your name madam. So wearing panty hose with what looks like golden foil paper is your idea of being creative. Lady you have failed woefully. Mj is turning in his grave at the moment. We at LFP are not amused because you definately wore this in an attempt to be the ring leader at the new circus that is coming to town.

Tiny: Na wa o, Aunty Goldie aka Lagos Lady Gaga.... Did you and Toni Tones come together?? Why do you have white panty hose on?? Hahaha Toya says gold foil paper.. Well she's right... Goldie try harder next time, you'll get there. Lol

Toya: Oga Black, I have to say it is hard to look messed up in black but this dude manages to do just that. Scruffy much? What is that black thing poking out of one sleeve of your blazer? You need a haircut preferrably with a chainsaw. You look unkept and it doesn't help that your blazer is too tight to be buttoned. I am out

Tiny: Erm Mr photographer why are you soaked in Black??? I don't get the style here o. You look like a swollen black baby drenched in black. You didn't even arrange your inner turtle neck and blazer well, one arm in disorganised... Mehn! Yomi you need a COMPLETE make over.

Tiny: Hahahahaha! This dude makes me laugh or should I say his look makes me laugh! What is this?? I don't like this at all. This is colour blocking gone wrong and that jacket looks like something pulled out of the 70's closet

Toya: Ola Garber, does he look very much like Durella or is it just me? I love the way he keeps averting his eyes like he knows deep down that he looks a hot mess in his washed out excuse of a baby blue jacket. Please I seriously hope he is not a stylist. Everyone in lagos that colour blocks is a stylist. We need to come together and stop this madness. Nigerians are beginning to take the piss.
What does he do Tiny?

Tiny: No idea. Haha

Tiny: I think she read our last review! Praise Jehova she is better dressed now. I was gonna start off with the pose and say why o why but then I saw her shoes... Hehe, you're excused. Tiny likes. I love this casual/classy look on her, makeup is pretty calm as well. But some jewelry on your wrist would have sealed your look.

Toya: This is one chick I think only looks good during her photoshoots as compared to her actual life. Makida has surprised me pleasantly with this oufit. It makes her look really young and fresh and not as sick as she usually looks! I like the potka dots on her top those are so hot this season. Good attempt baby! She could do with some sparkly braclets.

Tiny: All I have to say to Adams is this, Dude change that horrid looking hair cut and die that beard back to black.. Ahn ahn, what's with the gold bear bear??? Please O

Toya: I don't really know what to say about Adams over here. I think the jacket was not necessary, you seem like you just had to wear to be identified as following some trend made excessively popular in Lagos by people like Mai Atafo, Noble Igwe and Lynxx
Ah Tiny I think it might be Vertiligo.

I think it is a wrap. This was quite a dry event in our opinion (dry interms of fashion) but we can not disappoint our fans. Please let us know what you guys think. You know how to reach us.

Lagos Fashion Police at the Headies 2011 (Part 2)

Hey guys, we promised you a part 2 review of the 2011 Headies award and we are here to deliver.

We apologise for the delay. Enjoy!!

Toya: Ooooo Nse looks every inch a star! The one shoulder jumpsuit is such a hit and I love the honey highlights in her hair. However I think lower heels would have set it off better, to avoid the suit from hanging off the ground too much. Overall she did good I would say.

Tiny: Hmmm, ill start with the facial look, I love, makeup doesn't look heavy and hair is just right, highlights work well with her skin tone. I love the monostrap jumpsuit, looks absolutely fab on her and the belt helps. The shoes are a no go area for me, she could have done much better.

Tiny: First of all, pls smile, why does she look so angry? Photographer would have been scared. Anyways to her outfit.... Good heavens, what was she thinking? She looks misplaced. Wana let me tell what you have on.... You are wearing a black shimi and a long mosquito net wrapped around your waist. Because I don't understand why you would do this and that thing you have on your neck looks like an antique necklace which should so not be there. The only thing I like is the clutch purse. Please I advice you to go for a crash course in fashion.

Toya: Hahahahahhahahaha this chic makes me laugh. She has an upside down mouth, so weird! Anyways Ms sambo, what's up mami? Please can you help me describe your outfit? You have shelled out some nice designs which goes to show you have some style but babe what went wrong here? I am sorry but I don't get what this is supposed to be. I like your hair but that's about it.

Tiny: Princess Oniru aka Lady in blue, I want to start from the bottom, I understand why you would wear those shoes but why those particular ones?? They don't suit your feet or the outfit. That bag is not award worthy, looks like something you take to work everyday. The dress is nice but what went wrong at the bottom area? Did they use needle and thread to patch it up?? And the necklace should so not be there. I do love this your signature hair style, suits you well. This whole outfit is a 5 over 10, maybe 4 and a half sef

Toya: Toolz I would usually understand being full figured and identifying clothes that suit your body, but have you tried some tailored pants paired with some nice blouses? Please we would like to see something else on you. Now, that purse is not cute, the colour is not complimenting the blue of your dress doll, a red purse would have set it off much better. You must know by now you have chunky ankles and shoes with ankle straps should be avoided like a plague because they make your already short legs even shorter. Tiny, her hair looks fabulous in this picture.

Tiny: I think at this stage I can spot a dress made by HON, which is good. This dress doesn't look so bad on Rita, I don't like the boob area on her and It would have been better it is was not folding when she stands. The feathery bottom is a tad bit too much. Makeup looks good. Overall she looks good sha and that doesn't happen all the time.

Toya: This is just an ill fitted dress, Rita, I used to think was one of the best dressed Nigerian actresses until Genevieve employed a stylist. Rita just looks like a ruler that is stuck in a ball of red candy floss. From the head up she looks like a star but from the neck down, it is just high school prom dress gone wrong!

Toya: Wow. I have never seen Dolapo look so good as compared to some of the things she wears on studio 53 which make her look frumpy. The gold jacket and that deep green are so beautifully matched. This outfit is simple but stunning. I absolutely love it. Sets her little frame off nicely and enhancing her body in the right places. I think the shoes add a lovely sharp contrast. This has to be one of the best jewel tone combos I have seen this year. Kudos Dolapo!

Tiny: Can I just say again that Dolapo has got style and class, this lady rocks Lagos fashion world. First off, Dolapo can I have that jacket?? I love those purple shoes, all the colours she has on blend so well. The gold jacket works amazingly well with her dress as well as her necklace... Dolapo Oni is a certified LFP hottie. Weldon

Tiny: All I can say is that Tee a's complexion is the same as his tie. Why does he look so Orange??

Toya: Look Tee A, we know how much you charge to MC for weddings, do not be falling my hand nigga. We have seen this outfit too many times, this is not how to repeat outfits. This is the first warning from LFP.

Tiny: Dare!!!! What is this? No really what is this? Did your wife see you before you left for the awards?? You aint repping well na Nigga.. Ahn ahn! Dude have you heard your songs?? I would have expected a more classy look. Leave this dressing to Wizkid and Davido abeg.

Toya: Toya V has no comment! He just looks scattered.

Ok guys, this is where we end our Headies review. We hope you enjoyed both part 1 and 2.
